Increase in floor space.

Due to the loss of our previous clubrooms we took a leap of faith some 7 years ago to lease a part of a commercial building in Leigh Street. High Wycombe. This comprised of approximately 2000 sq ft.

 

Since then our membership has risen to over 50 members and space has become an issue.

 

During talks with the landlord we were offered extra space and as the adjoining room was available we went into talks over extending our footprint. This room was also approximately 2000 sq ft. After lengthy discussions with the landlord and council officials, planning permission was sought to extend our authorisation to operate from this address. We are also grateful for all the help that Wycombe District Council have given to us in the form of advice and a grant to complete the transformation.

 

Hence from the October 2009 we are now the proud users of a much larger premises where we can enjoy the hobby of Model Railways. It has allowed us to spread ourselves making more room for members to walk between the continually erected layouts and further the evolvement of our club. New layouts are planned and stored layouts can be brought out of storage.
